Fiber Art

Knitting, Crocheting, Spinning, Felting…so much fiber and so little time!

I have been a fiber artist for over 40 years. As a kid, I loved sharing time with my mom (my first teacher) learning to crochet. I remember sitting and watching in awe of how consistent my mother’s stitches were. As I grew older, I learned to knit as well and then, a few years ago, I learned to spin and, not far behind that I discovered felting.

It has been quite a journey and, every step along the way, I have been passionate about sharing my love of fiber. If you know me well, you have most likely received one of my handmade items.

Last year, I decided to move this journey to a new place and Near and Dear Designs was formed. Who knows how far the next leg of this journey will take me but, rest assured, it won’t be far from some form of fiber.

Below are a few of my creations. If you would like to own one of these for yourself, please visit my Etsy page by clicking here.
